PhD Program in Geospatial Information Technology

Geospatial Information is a rapidly growing field in science and industry worldwide. Geographic Information Systems, Remote Sensing, and Global Navigation Satellite Systems not only deliver accurate positioning but are used to acquire, manipulate, and store geospatial data for solving pressing real-world problems and complex issues concerning climate, water cycles, urban planning, and public health.

The International Academy of Geospatial Information Science, Wuhan University (abbreviated as IAG-WHU) is an independent school for international students in Wuhan University. Scholarships

Time for application: Feb 22, 2016 to Mar 31, 2016

•From Chinese Government

There are two ways to apply Scholarships from Chinese government:

1. via WHU. The candidate could register both at CSC and WHU online and send required documents to WHU. Click here for more information.

2. via Chinese Embassy. The candidate could contact with domestic Chinese Embassy to register and submit required documents. It is more likely to obtain scholarships in this way.

•From Wuhan University

Wuhan University also provides scholarships to outstanding students. "As a commitment to supporting overseas students and rewarding academic excellence, Wuhan University offers a number of scholarships for overseas students each year, awarded on a competitive basis." In this situation, a Provisional Acceptance Letter from a professor is required.
